Lycian Queen is a 37-metre gulet built in 2015 for up to 18 guests in eight en-suite cabins — a master, a VIP, four doubles and two triples — which makes her one of the few boats on this coast that takes a big family group without splitting it across two hulls. High-gloss mahogany throughout, a long saloon dining table and a second, shaded table aft.

Based in Bodrum with a crew of seven. Summers run the Bodrum peninsula, across to Kos, Symi and Rhodes, and down to Marmaris, Göcek and Fethiye. Toys: waterskis, two SUPs, two canoes, windsurfer, wakeboard, kneeboard and a 115 hp tender.

The Bozburun peninsula

Bozburun is where the gulets are built. It's a small working shipyard town without much tourism. You'll spend the day in Serçe, where the road runs out, and anchor in still waters, pine-filled hills all around.

The Lycian shore

Just south of Göcek, the Twelve Islands archipelago marks the start of the Lycian shore. You'll sail past the Lycian rock-tombs and anchor in The Blue Lagoon, with Babadağ rising behind.
