Terms of Service
Last updated 10 May 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Salt & Lateen website and any charter bookings arranged through us. Charters are contracted under the MYBA Charter Agreement; these Terms cover website use and the enquiry process.
Who we are
Salt & Lateen is a curated charter brokerage focused exclusively on the Turquoise Coast of Turkey. We work with a hand-selected fleet of crewed sailing yachts, gulets, and motor-sailers. Bookings are arranged through Exclusive Gulets Ltd as the contracting broker.
Acceptance of terms
By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit enquiries.
Booking and payment
Charter bookings are governed by the MYBA Charter Agreement, signed between you and the vessel owner via Exclusive Gulets Ltd. Standard terms include a 50% deposit at signing and 50% balance four weeks before charter start. APA, fuel, and gratuity are additional and per MYBA convention.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation terms follow the MYBA Charter Agreement: deposit forfeited if cancelled more than four weeks before charter start; full charter fee due if cancelled within four weeks. We strongly recommend charter cancellation insurance.
Vessel availability
While we make every effort to confirm your selected vessel, availability is not guaranteed until the MYBA agreement is signed. If your selected vessel becomes unavailable before signing, we will offer alternatives at the same or comparable level.
Liability and disclaimers
Salt & Lateen acts as introducer; the contractual relationship for the charter is between you and the vessel owner via Exclusive Gulets Ltd. We are not liable for the conduct of crew, vessel condition, or events during the charter. Standard MYBA warranties and limitations apply.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including weather, port closures, government restrictions, or vessel breakdown. The MYBA Charter Agreement governs force majeure provisions during the charter itself.
Use of the website
The website is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not scrape, reverse engineer, or systematically extract content. You may not use the enquiry form for purposes unrelated to genuine charter interest.
Intellectual property
All content on this site - text, photography, design - is owned by Salt & Lateen or licensed for use. Reuse without permission is not permitted.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with a last-updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
