Queen of Sea is a 29-metre white-hulled gulet, built in 2007 and fully refitted in 2022, for up to 10 guests in five en-suite cabins: two masters, two doubles and a twin. The refit gave her a clean, light interior — pale joinery, white linen — that photographs as new.

Based in Bodrum with a crew of four (captain, chef, two deckhands), she cruises at 9 knots and carries two canoes, a SUP, a Seabob, a ringo and snorkelling and fishing gear. Underwater lights at the stern make the evening swim.

The Bozburun peninsula

Bozburun is where the gulets are built. It's a small working shipyard town without much tourism. You'll spend the day in Serçe, where the road runs out, and anchor in still waters, pine-filled hills all around.

The Lycian shore

Just south of Göcek, the Twelve Islands archipelago marks the start of the Lycian shore. You'll sail past the Lycian rock-tombs and anchor in The Blue Lagoon, with Babadağ rising behind.
